On October 29th, 2013 Siðmennt, the Icelandic Ethical Humanist Association honored 2 deserving human beings: the Mayor of Reykjavik, Jon Gnarr, as Humanist of the Year, and Petur Halldorsson with our Education and Science Award for his excellent science radio show „Tilraunaglasid“. In the first picture Hope Knutsson, president of Siðmennt is shaking the mayor’s hand and giving him part of his award gifts. In the second, Hope is giving Petur his award gifts. This is the 9th year that Siðmennt has chosen a Humanist of the Year and the 6th time we have presented our Education and Science award.
